Principle of hydraulic hammer

On October 8, 2021, hydraulic hammers are impact-type piling hammers, which can be divided into single-acting and double-acting types according to their structure and working principle. The so-called single-acting type means that the impact hammer core is quickly released after being lifted to a predetermined height by a hydraulic device, and the impact hammer core hits the pile in free fall; the double-acting type means that the impact hammer core is lifted from the hydraulic The system obtains acceleration energy to increase the impact speed and hit the pile. This also corresponds to two piling theories respectively. The single-acting hydraulic piling hammer corresponds to the heavy hammer light hammering theory. It is characterized by larger hammer core weight, lower impact speed, and longer hammering action time. It has a large penetration, adapts to pile types of various shapes and materials, and has a low pile damage rate. It is especially suitable for driving concrete pipe piles. The double-acting hydraulic pile hammer corresponds to the light hammer heavy hammer theory. It is characterized by smaller hammer core weight, higher impact speed, and shorter hammer action time. It has large impact energy and is most suitable for steel pile driving.
